so i finally got some time to finish up a few things on the jeep. i pulled the rear end and reset the pinion angle and now she rides smoooother than ever!
i also got to my shock issue. instead of spending $150 on shackle relocation brackets i decided to make a new upper rear shock mount. i had seen the JKS crossover adjustable mount and figured i could make my own. so i did. now with the new mount i pointed the top of the shocks towards eachother so that i could get more travel out of my rear shocks and they wont bottom out when i hit bumps. here is what it looks like

I like the shock mount design. Let me know how it works the next time you take it out

thanks. its not the prettiest but it gets the job done. so far from what i can tell since the shocks are angled it takes away some of the dampening ability of the shock. but they dont bottom out anymore so thats what i was looking for

well the jeep is pretty much done except for sliders and plating one last part of the frame rail. (need money for that) i am taking it out tonight for a quick trail run up at evans to see how everything holds up. so far there are no issues and it seems to be running fine

will and his dad.

the high steer arm bolts busted in half inside the knuckle. got through the trails fine but on the road back i went to turn and it didnt turn and i went into the ditch. managed to get ahold of my dad who brought up some welding rod so we could weld it on. it wasnt working right so he went back and got the trailer and we managed to barely get the jeep on it. not a fun night/morning

aww bummer man, we had to help get a few people of the trail that morning.. some kid in A toyota with broken axle.. my buddies cherokee broke front diff and ripped steering off the frame. well good luck next time and hope to whel with you sometime

ya im giving the jeep a break and my wallet a break for a little while. i have a two week break of no school in a couple weeks so i might start on it then. hope to have it ready for the naxja northwest fest at the end of june. gonna try to get the broken bolts out of the knuckle so i dont have to get a new knuckle. then need to buy hydro assist so there isnt as much force pushing against the high steer arm anymore.

did you order all the hoses and ram with fittings from them? did a little research and really curious how surplus center kit works out. let me know once you have it what you think about it.
