Howdy! Just found this forum, lots of great info here. I live in the small town of Vader. Just recently purchased a 97 Grand Cherokee Laredo. It has the 4.0l in it, with an automatic transmission. Brought her home Monday last week and on Friday last week she broke down. Looks like I need a new water pump and a head gasket. Oh well for $1500 I think I still got a good deal.

Ya I still have. It's still sitting in my car port broke down. I have the new motor in but ca t get it started. I'm going to replace the crank position sensor and see if that helps. If that don t do it I'm going to go back in and replace the timing set. Once I get it all running and reliable im going to give it to my daughter for a graduation gift and find me another one.
