the mount on the sensor. all i did is notch it so i can take it on and off with out completely removing the bolts. i have seen it done all over the forums and interenet.
i think i am going to pick up another CPS and not mod it. try that out and see if it works. if not then i will just return it.

Ok so I got another CPS today. Got it installed. Didn't modify it.
Jeep started up. It started quicker also.
But still can't drive faster then 15mph. I also feel like it is missing.
Is it possible that multiple sensors can go bad? I have replaced my TPS less then a year ago. I know that the CAM position sensor could be another sensor to check.
But both sensors going bad or all 3 going bad, when it was all fine just a few weeks ago.

I went through the EXACT samething thing you are going through. I replaced the ICM, CPS, Distributor Cap, Button, Spark Plugs, Button, Checked the Fuel rail injectors EVERYTHING!!! Winston came over and we tried a couple diff things and we pulled out the distributor and the side of the distributor was rusty and the eye inside the distributor was shot, replaced the distributor and rechecked the wires to make sure they were plugged up right on the distributor cap and it fired right up and has ran like new ever since
I will look into that.
I might have a bad plug wire. I pulled one and when I tried to seat the plug wire boot it never felt fully seated.
Hope that is it. It is the only thing that changed since it started run bad beside the CPS

Ok, so here is what I think happen.
Went offroading a while ago.
I dented my fuel tank. It is hard to fill the tank. Fuel pump is probaly not sitting where it should. So it is probaly bad now since I am low on fuel presussure.
So new tank from scucks 170, new fuel pump about 170.
So 340ish in parts.
So while I am at it I should replace the filter so add on another 20.
So 360 in parts alone.
Then the next question do I go ahead and replace the 19 year old injectores
At 60 a piece for another 360 in parts.
Man that is 720 total.
What do I do?
