So, I moved to Tumwater, WA. I was told about "Capital Forest" and would like to check it out some time. If anyone lives local and wants to meet up some time... Leave a message.

there are no trails for jeeps at Capitol forest, it is all atv, horse, bike, and hiking trails. But you can cruise the forest service roads.

Yeah, no jeep trails! However, if there's snow there's a lot of fun. Hurry and you might catch some white stuff.

That really sucks. I remember back in the day (The 80s) my buddy and I used to take our Toyotas wheeling in that area that is now Capitol Forest ATV area.....when it was just a bunch of unmarked buddy trails. Lots of fun and good memories.

It was still going strong into the 90s' but unfortunately like a lot of my old wheeling grounds they are all getting shut down. There are still a couple trails lingering there but if you get caught on them it isn't going to end well for you.

Yep, it's best to just stick to the marked ORV areas where Jeeps are legally allowed. I'd hate to see anybody get burned at the stake and fined heavily for being in an area that Jeeps once were and still should be allowed but, aren't....and our few remaining legal wheeling spots are always in jeapardy by the tree huggers who think they are smarter than us and need to save us from ourselves. The marked ORV areas are all public land. It is your right as an American to enjoy them so, definitely do it!!!!!

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the moved thread but this is a subject very near and dear to my heart.
