A member of quite a few forums about the interweb, checking this place out and trying to figure what it is about.
Quick pic of my rough ride, still getting the kinks worked out of it.

AR 767's 16x8.5's with 36" SuperSwampers going on there tomorrow, swapping the Razor grill for a Rhino grill that I am picking up tomorrow as well. SOA/SF happening in the next couple weeks so I can get it into the mud and try to break stuff on it as soon as possible.
Time to go looking about these forums some more and perhaps grab a home brew.

Fixing that in my profile now, for those of you that don't look at that section of the page tho... I am out of Roseburg, Oregon.
Actually I spent a couple years stationed out of Lewis, nice trails out that way... kind of tight trails, but I wasn't wheeling on them I was hoof'n it with a ruck on.

Already cleaned up some of the PO's wiring mess. Still have a short somewhere that is draining the battery overnight. Getting the gauges working is a PITA, but the Speedo works... however the fuel gauge doesn't and at 6-8 mpg that is a serious issue. I have to drop the tank and pull the fuel sender unit to check for wear, probably just going to clean the entire tanks and Chassis Saver it to prevent rust in the future. I will start a build thread on it soon with plenty of pics.

Karvin,
Welcome to CF from Buck born and raised in Chehalis, Wa. 24 years of US Navy has landed me retired and living in Oak Harbor, Wa. on Whidbey Island. Roseburg is beautiful country. I am somewhat familiar with it. I will have to tell you that story sometime...it actually even involves my Cherokee. Those old fullsize Cherokees will always be the "real" Cherokees to me. Afterall they came along first. Although I can personally vouch for how tuff XJs are. Again, welcome and I hope we get to wheel together sometime soon. My next long range wheeling trip I am hoping will be to the Tillimook State Forest ORV area in Oregon. I have wanted to go there for years.

As it sits now, had to take it all down to bare metal after finding rust hidden by bondo in the rear flares. Got it mocked up in colored primer how it will be painted, however I am thinking about doing the entire exterior in colored Monstaliner.

Not a Cherokee, but my new toy... 1968 Kaiser M715 5/4 Ton
Jeep 230CID I-6 "Tornado", 4 Spd T98 Tranny, NP200 Transfer case, D60 semi floating in the front, D70 full floating in the rear, 5.88 Gears. Top Speed 45 mph over anything.
