Evans Creek run March 21st
looks like a blast I hate work, when you try hard for something it just keeps going against you. we had a disaster at work which kept me in Canada 2 days too long. Oh well as the saying goes, theres always next time!!!!
ya there was a ton of snow so we didnt get through very many trails. so we will get another run planned for this summer when the snow is gone. i mentioned to Buck that we should have a weekend trip to Evans so you guys dont have to drive all that way for just a day run.

I've already talked to my son about going back to Evans Creek this summer for a weekend camp out and trail run. So, there are 2 XJs from up our way definitely in for that.

OH man, you had to bring up the tires.
I only slid off the road once and trail once.
Matt is gonna hook me up with a winch cable and roller fairlead for my winch.....and the tire issue will most definitely be fixed before I head back down there.
Oh, and I did some reading the other night as I was looking for replacement parts for my winch. There is evidently a "NEW" XRC 8000 that is on the market, now. Brandon, you evidently have the new one. Because you have that different looking controller and yours is so much faster than mine. Guess I'll fix mine and run it til it burns up and either get a new XRC 8 or get the XRC 10. I had to beat the **** out of my roller fairlead when I got home to get that roller back right. I think I'm gonne replace that hokey pin and snap ring set up on the rollers, with grade 8 bolts and nylon lock nuts. Hopefully that roller fairlead Matt has is just a better made one than I have now.

ya i believe the one he has is a warn. but i could be mistaking. ya i need some new tires and i will probly have gears and locker in the rear with either a dana 60 or 44. oh and some sliders so i will be much more setup than now.
ya i thought i had the newer winch. mine works great. after you guys left i had to winch out a yukon and myself a few times and it killed my battery. i have the stock battery right now so i need an optiima

I bet you had to strap your rig to a tree to pull that big Yukon out just like we had to with me to pull "Old Red" up the hill. Still a little pissed about that gash his battle bumper put in the side of my Jeep. I was able to pop most of all the dents out that I got from "Trail" damage. That thing caught me right between the rear door and the fender well. It actually put a small crack in the body seem. It's my own fault for being too heavy on the right pedal, though. Live and learn.
