Hey man! all 4.0L overheat. Are you overheating when sitting in traffic? or while driving down the road?

Want to know the issue? radiator. The clutch fan isn't enough to keep up with that beast of an engine. pretty dumb. You either install an electric fan along WITH the clutch fan (what I currently have) or get a Triple Threat Radiator system (what I'm going to be doing soon) For what that mod does, its not expensive. DON'T get an off-brand though.

OR! you've got a blown head gasket (yay). How many miles you got on that piece? Unlike my last car (friggin hate chevy) These head gaskets aren't "as bad".

It could also be that your radiator is just bad, or bad water pump or whatnot. But either way, replacing that fan with a FFD Triple Threat system is a plus. Coolant flushes have never helped me in the past. Still a good idea... but just a bandaid for a bigger issue. (personal xp)

no clutch fan just an efan just one also have no over flow tank... i am fine when i am just driving around town even without the efan on thats the weird thing it only start to heat up on the beach when i start working her but if i run the heat and the fan i can keep her at or below 210 also i can leave it idling with the fan on for hours no problem the day i bought it it was 70+ up in seattle hit 5 oclock traffic didnt have the fan on wasnt even close to hitting 210

Yep. Thats the one. Mine does the same, and the guy that got me addicted to Jeeps, his does it too.

look this up on Ebay too: http://www.ffdynamics.com/extremecherokeeB.html

You'll LOVE how it looks. friggin beast.

also, it may be that you're radiator is just old. In which case, I'd say do what I'm gonna do and replace the radiator, put on the FFD Triple Threat, and flush the fluids.

With no overflow tank, is it easy to see how much fluid you have in the system? maybe also check your tubes to make sure they're not old and worn, leaking or ruptured.

Last post is what happens when you come off a 17 hour day of work lol what that was meant to say is that I have to pull the cap to check fluid levels and add fluid

I'm out of the running on this trip, haven't got my gears done on the front end and so still no 4WD. I will head out there in a few weeks.

A little off topic, but I just got my lift done and my brand new suspension is making a pretty awful squeaking noise. Like maybe the u-bolts holding it down are loose? I don't want to touch it just due to the fact that I paid someone else to do it, and I want them to look at it before I start tampering.

ALSO! my door hinges are falling off. lol. Anyone know how to weld? my plan is to buy an extra set of doors and make cut doors and modify all my hinges to be quick release, But I don't have the tools, or know-how on welding.

If anyone would be able to help me in the foreseeable future I would be more than happy to provide the beer and pizza
