So I'm wrapping up loose ends for the trip, and I notice I don't have a lot of spare parts. Just 2 rear dshafts, a front dshaft, spare hub, fuses, starting fluid, gear oil, hi temp bearing grease, grease gun,and a jug of atf. Is there any other fluids you guys would recommend I bring?

For extra fluids, I always carry 1 gallon jug of water, 1 quart power steering fluid, 1 quart brake fluid, 1 quart gear oil, 2 quarts tranny fluid and 2 quarts motor oil.

....AND I have used them all at one time or another on the trail. Like in a pinch you can use power steering fluid in your transfer case if you run out of auto tranny fluid trying to get out of a trail to the road after twisting your stock slip yoke rear drive shaft in two...LOL!
Thanks again to Branden (Chericon) for the driveshaft...LOL! I also know that if you flop your Jeep onto it's right side. 4 quarts of tranny fluid will run right out through the dipstick filler tube...LOL.
You will also need to bleed your brakes because as you push the brake pedal to the floor while the Jeep is tipping over, you introduce a butt load of air into the system....LOL.

AND of course last but not least, if you have your POS plastic heater control valve start leaking while on a wheeling trip you will need a little extra water to get you home after a bunch leaks out through the leaking valve so your Jeep doesn't overheat on you.

So your saying roll left? ;-) Looks like I need PS fluid, brake fluid, oil. My jug of antifreeze/water is always in the trunk with my tools. I think I'm set after that. Aside from spare axles which I dont have...

Yes...LMAO...definitely roll left!! I have you covered for D30 shafts. I will be carrying a set and my son will be carrying a set in his Jeep. I never carry shafts for my rear axle but, it is a D44 and I can't help you there, anyway. My D44 is a semi floater so I don't have to worry about losing a wheel if I break a rear shaft and I figured if I ever do break a D44 stock shaft. Then, it's time for chromos. Plus, XJ D44s are almost impossible to find in the junkyards so I've never managed to find a spare set.

Im not to worried about the axles (knockng on wood), I outgrew stomping on the skinny pedal to make thru tough spots after snaping the yoke off a 3/4 ton when I was a kid. I have abs so I have the bigger stock shafts up front and I dont even know the spline count on my 8.25. One of these days I need to find out tho.

My son has an extra set of both 29 spline and 27 spline, 8.25 shafts he can bring. He is currently running 29 spline shafts in his Jeep so I know he will have that set of extras. We can bring the 27s just in case.
im still waiting on my beadlocks but if they come in time and i get the jeep back on all 4s in time i might stop by saturday or maybe sunday for a trail or 2. if not i might just come up saturday night and hang out with everyone who is camping
