Matt, actually I think I might take you up on that. I'd like to see up close and personal, how the new 91 is coming along. LOL...I've dealt with just about anything and everything that can and will go wrong with a 91 XJ...LOL. Plus, helping you out wrenching on your Jeep will keep me from going out to Walker this weekend and possibly tearing mine up...LOL. Alex and I did a run to the Lynnwood P n P and I scored a set of gray seats out of a 91 Laredo. They are so comfy. They've got some funky stains on them but hey, it's a wheeling rig not a show car. Other than the stains they are in perfect shape. Let me know what is a good time and day to come over....and where your house is.

This many pages is typical for a Wheeling run thread that is scheduled for more than a month out. Especially when it's a cool place like Elbe that lots of people like going to. The campout thing is knda a first for the guys from the Cherokeeforum group. I know this campout is pretty much guys from your High Life 4x4 group but, a lot of us are Cherokeeforum only. I see this being a really good time for all!!

I just looked at a 10 day weather forecast for Elbe. Rain and snow showers mixed, today. Pretty much rain or cloudy all the way out to April 26th. then, it's rain and snow mixed again. April 27th says sunny but the high for that day is only 53. Low is 34. It's looking like will still might see snow at least in the shady spots for our Elbe run.

Yah, I imgine its going to be very wet and very sloppy up there, CANT WAIT!!!

I am wondering about firewood though, Eric is your dad still bringing a truck full of wood?

I think we will be bringing some on a trailer, i wish you could gather your own wood up there like we do when we go campin!

Snow would be nice. But like usual every ones all giddy for it . sees it gets stuck and then turns around. Lol. I'm always ready to venture out into it. Hope theres some other snow hounds this trip.

If not theres always a bit of mud right

Doin my control arms this weekend and prepping for the engine swap. Im gonna keep the manual trans till after this trip. But plan to be on a fresh power plant woot.

If you guys want I can load up my Jeep with some firewood for you and I'll drop it at camp that Saturday before we hit the trails.

Me (BuckB91XJ) and my son (1987XJ) were planning on, after cramming all of our tools, parts and camping gear into our Jeeps, cramming in as many pieces of firewood as our Jeeps would carry.

The truckload or trailer of firewood sounds like a much better plan, though.

Everybody be sure and bring your favorite axe, hatchet or thomas hawk. Sometime during the weekend we will have to have an axe throwing contest. I thought I read a few pages back that there are shooting areas near the Elbe OHV area as well. just a couple of fun things to do that I know of that go right along with wheeling and camping.
