ok so i got my answer. found a thread that straight up said you have to remove the carrier. So it looks like you just remove, install locker and reinstall the carrier. do you need to adjust the gears or shim anything?

1. Anti wrap bar
2. My 35s handle well but i had to upgrade some components to handle them and not break something every trip. Once i put 35s on also i could barely stop, so i upgrade my master cylinder and brake booster, If you stock geared, i wouldnt do it.
3. no idea.

currently manual with 3.55s i have enough power to burn the tires off through 3rd gear. brake booster might be a good idea either way.

Hey guys, Im new here and I was looking at this thread. You guys are obviously very knowledgeable on here. I am using the 96 XJ I just bought as a DD for now. My goal for the vehicle is to make a great trail Jeep. I have checked out a few Long arm kits, Iron Rock Offroad has a pretty good looking 8" kit. Does anyone know anyone who has one? Pros/Cons?

I cant think of anywhere in wa state that you could utilize an 8" lift. Way to high for my comfort zone. Im at 6.5" right now and i feel even that is a bit to tall. I have been on some of the hairiest stuff in WA and can tell you, if you go 8in consider getting full width axles and a 12.5"+ wide tire, to help you from tipping over.
IRO make really good lift kits all around, Clayton kits are the best you can get though.
I got a question for this 'ask a question' thread. Where are the interior Alaska trails at? I'm bored with going to play in the mud if the Tanana river. I want a trail that goes somewhere, maybe something that's even a little challenging, why not?
great thread also a newbe just bought a 95 xj live in puyallup was looking for some help putting lift on. i have tools (should have enough to get it done) cold beer and a garage. any help would be great.

I got my intake and exhaust of to replace the ex. manifold and my intake ports are very wet/oily but exhaust are a little black and ashy (normal). My ex. Manifold was cracked in 6 places so was the engine running rich to compensate? Or do I have another issue?
