Okay all you Washington XJ guys. Here is your chance of a lifetime if you have been wanting to run Tillimook State Forest/Brown's Camp down in Oregon for years like I have!!!!!!!! (It is about 20-30 miles west of Portland). Heck, even if you've been there 100 times, come with us and run it again. I've heard a lot of awesome storys and seen a lot of awesome pics/vids of this place. It is great place to go wheeling and coming from Western Washington, it is VERY easy to get to. Plus we will be meeting up with a bunch of CherokeeForum guys from the local area to take us on all the good trails so we won't just be driving around lost. So, it is going to be September 17, 2011. That is on a Saturday and it is 4 weeks away. So, here is your notice waaaaaaaay ahead of time so you can mark your calenders and tell your ladies (if they don't want to go that is) that you are going wheeling that day. It also gives you plenty of time to get any maintenance or mods done to your Jeep so you don't have that excuse for not going that weekend. This also gives you plenty of time to tell or schmooze your boss into letting you have the day or weekend off. This run would be the perfect opportunity to give any changes to your Jeep a good shake down, too. So, post up on this thread if you are even slightly interested. I am coming from Oak Harbor. Wa., so pretty much unless you live in Bellingham or Canada there will be a place along I-5 that I can meet you for the drive down to Oregon. So, come on guys post up and lets make this an even bigger Cherokee Forum event than the one at Elbe was. There is also plenty of camping space in the area if you want to camp out for the weekend.

well i found my odd knocking sound was from a broken sleeve on a ****ty spark plug, so if my jeep holds up, and the wife is ok with it, then i am down for this run! i would really like to wheel with the cherokee guys down in portland, and i could make it a weekend and spend it there! only thing is that i dont have a trailer, and will have to drive back so i cant beat my rig to a pulp. i will have tons of spare parts, and my tools in case i break down.

David, I don't have a trailer, either. In fact, I just got my truck a couple of months ago. I have driven my Jeep all over the western states to go wheeling. I've driven it to Lemoore, Ca. a couple of times and wheeled all over down there. I drove it over to Fallon, Nv. too, for a det., and I wheeled all over the place over there. I will most likely just drive my jeep down to Oregon for this run. If it breaks i've always been able to fix it good enough to make it home. If it doesn't break then it's all good.
