Hello I am thinking about putting ZJ seats in my XJ for the
extra comfort and was wondering if any one has done this
before. I was also wondering if its a direct bolt in or if it
will require some modifying.

For a 93 you'll have to modify the brackets from the ZJ seat. It's very possible though.

 

hey man .... i'm considering the same, just need to find the ZJ seats first! .... however, from what i have learned, you need to use the XJ rail with the ZJ seat .... if you remove one of your XJ seats (four bolts to floor panel), and flip the seat over, you'll see how the seat attaches to the rail/bracket - i just put in new carpeting and had everything out! - there are four (?) bolts that hold the rail against the seat frame.... good luck!

 

Just a quick question; on the write up you did on the swap, does the back seat still fold forward to increase the cargo area? Great write up you did by the way, very informative.
