ZJ coil lift
Im planning on doing a home brew based on this
http://www.rocklizardfabrications.co...dget_boost.htm
Iv seen all over on using "V8 ZJ" springs. Do they actually have to come form a V8 because if I look up the coil for a ZJ on quadratec, morris 4x4, or autozone it only lists one part. Which would seem to conclude that the V6s and V8s had the same springs in them.
I know a guy parting out a V6 ZJ who will give e me the springs cheap.
Advice, comments?
PS. If you are going to say they are different please provide some proof so i can be sure.

I picked up new springs for mine when I put a plow on it. They were v8 GC springs. They did the ticket as far as weight was concerned and lifted the jeep about two inches. The inline 6 springs are not as heavy. The thickness of the coils is a good 1/4 of an inch bigger in diameter on the v8 vs the inline 6 springs. Check with the parts places for new vs. used. The cost was not that much different and without question the new springs made every thing set level and you know the history of what is going in your jeep. Too many times the old springs are no better than what you have now.
