Agreed! You need about 4 feet (IIRC) of each size, and I suggest you buy 5 or 10. You need a section of 5/8", and a section of 3/4".

Absolutely. I keep a boy/boy splice under the rear seat, for emergencies.
A fresh one piece hose is a must in this case.
