I have searched the forums and plan to replace the blower motor, resistor and control panel switch as my blower motor quit last week. I pulled all the parts and have a question about the harness. I see some people try to put new ends on the wires for the switch and others try to find a replacement plug in a junkyard. Sorry about the crappy picture, but it is cold outside and it was hard to hold the phone still... there is some case melting at the bottom right portion of the connector, but the internal connectors look clean and unmelted. If I am replacing the motor, resistor and switch, would it be acceptable to simply clean up my slightly melted plug assembly and reuse it?

Also, any recommendations for the specific parts? Advance has what appears to be a generic motor for $26.xx, will this last?

 

If it were mine i would replace that connector. As for the generic blower motor.. all i can say is you get what you pay for.
