Default Yakima Loadwarrior Roof Rack Question

So i'm looking at buying this Yakima Loadwarrior Roof rack but after I checked on yakima's website they said it would not fit. This is strange to me because I just saw a jeep last week that had this same rack on it.

THose of you running this Yakima Loadwarrior rack does it fit okay? oh and its going on a 1998 cherokee

I have one on my 96 xj. Now mine mounts to the factory roof rack on the xj. It works perfect. I am considering selling mine or trading it for other aftermarket parts.

It may not fit on your factory cross bars but if you upgrade to Yakima, Thule, or other aftermarket cross bars there will be no fit problem. I have seen many XJs with that basket around here. If you haven't already, it is worth it to upgrade cross bars anyway - that is if you plan on loading anything of substantial weight on the roof.

It might, you may have to slide the racks around though. I was actually considering the same purchase for my xj.

Thanks for this post, Yakima told me yesterday it wouldn't fit my 1994 Cherokee Country, but my buddy has that rack and I've measured it out and I know it will fit. And, thanks to the guys who had it and replied with saying it fit and everything. Just ordered it a few minutes ago!

Yea I saw that too, I think you have to get a yakima rack permanently installed on your roof for it to work. I just went with the thule moab
