Cold stamping means that the sheet metal pieces were formed by stamping at room temperature. I don't know for sure whether XJ unibody parts were made at cold (room temperature) or hot (approx. 900-1000C for steel), but for sure they were stamped. I would expect hot stamped pieces to have much lower residual stresses.
