Hi, can you interchange the steering pump between a 2.5l diesel and petrol XJ ?

 

I can't remember off the top of my head, but I am fairly certain that they are different.

 

I think the pump I found in my barn, and installed in my 84 was from a mid 70's Chevy! I needed to borrow a pulley puller and change a number of things, (studs and fittings), but if it looks about right it may well go as long as you have the stuff from your Jeep pump. Not sure there!
