Default XJ overhead console swap?
I am looking at putting an overhead console in my 98 XJ and found one out of a 2001. What I would like to know is, will the 01 console and wiring harness work without any modifications on my 98?

I did not since I found out online that the wiring harnesses were quite a bit different. I am holding out to find one from a 98 since that year was the only harness that fits without any mods.

I never purchased the console since I did the research and didn't want to rewire it.

Buy console for 15 and re sell for 200 so they can look at their God awful mpg and store their fake Ray bans like I did.

I just wanted the outside temp and a neat place to mount switches
