Default xj lift coils on a zj

ok so not every zj is equipped with a v8. I have the i6 in mine and every time i search this question it seems to go more toward the v8s.

My question is if i take 4.5 inch xj coils and put them on the front of my zj will i net 4.5 since its a i6?

People say if you put them on you will lose an inch or so. (but thats for the v8)

they should net around the same. if you use TJ rear springs for the rear lift you'll loss about an inch because the TJ is lighter over all.

Can't answer your question directly, but maybe I can provide some insight.
I put coils from a ZJ 4.0 on my XJ, and got exactly 1/2 inch of lift over stock coil height. I am guessing you'll lose that amount.

I mean I could always buy zj coils but there are so many used xj springs that are cheap.

they would work just fine for you but you would get less lift out of them...stock a grand is taller than a classic

Measure and then put them on and measure again and let us know. I would say you will be about an inch lower but add an insulator.
