Default XJ Idles Rough

I have a 94 XJ that has poor throttle response. We have done the trouble code test and keep getting code 76(fuel pump resistor bypass relay circuit) on the reader and have looked at everything(even the brain) to no avail. The old brain did go bad and we are trying every computer we can get our hands on(even used grand cherokee brains). I dont notice any ballist resistor or anything of that nature. We checked all relays. We replaced the tps. All Fuses are good and we're at wits-end here. Any ideas?

Update: Replaced fuel pump and it smoothed out the idle. When i give it gas it feels like it chokes and runs rough still. Any ideas?
