Default xj frustrating electrical prob

im having trouble with the lights on my jeep when the switch is off the signals work break lights work great for driving during the day....when i pull the switch for my headlights to turn on all the lights get all craxked out headlights dont turn on signal lights front and rear just dont mark right and my dash turns on but turn signal arrows blink and high beam indicator is on....any help? Anyone else go thru this prob? any ideas on why this is up? i check the switch and its fine all fuses are cool im stumped!

Can't say for sure but all my lighting problems were from bad body grounds. My friends Jeep's tail lights would blink with his left turn. It was corroded bulb sockets, again bad grounds.

sounds like the headlight switch. mine went out a while ago. the switch is ChEaP online and kind of a Bi^&*( to install. you take off the dash trim. the crux is that you have to get your hand behind the switch to push the button on the back to release the actual switch lever you pull on, then its pretty easy. just hard because of tight spaces for big hands

Yea i got a new switch and did all the b&@$): dash work but it wasnt the problems i checked all my bulbs 2 i fear something in the wiring is shorting my next move is 2 rewire it all my self????? Aaaah

Check the ground wires on the rear bulb sockets. They loosen up and cause chaos.
Also check the main plug to the header panel harness. It's on the driverside under the air box.
Sometimes the terminals get corroded and do the same thing.

Moved to OEM.
