XJ dual diaphragm Brake booster upgrade and Bendix 9 ABS delete video
With the help of information gained on CF, I managed a nearly bolt on conversion to the later model XJ brake booster and master cylinder on the 1989 XJ, (of course almost everything applies to an MJ as well except for the BENDIX 9 deletion). I used a brand new OMIX ADA booster and master ASSY and a Fine Lines front brake line kit for a 1996 XJ. This allowed everything to bolt into place with minimal modifications, (I did need to extend the rear brake tube about 4"). It was a little more complicated due to the XJ having cruise control and needing to keep the VAC dump valve. The part numbers are linked in the description.
Finally a video I can reference when redoing the brake system. Never knew of the hole difference on the pedel setups. I appreciate you taking pics of the part numbers and displaying what worked for you. I find that important and makes the video valueable. Thank you good sir and miss.
Hope it helps. I believe that the pedal hole is only different if you have the Bendix 9 ABS. If you already have standard brakes and are just st upgrading to the dual diagram booster, you should be OK.
