X2
x2 Your low on fluid, there's a sensor in the tranny that senses fluid, if there isn't fluid touching it it shifts into neutral as a fail-safe.

To Start WELCOME!
In My Humble Opinion. I would say do not waste your time. Shop around sometimes Junk yards have awesome tires. that is just my small 2 Cents.

And i agree CF is invaluable.

My oil pressure are reading perfect. So yes I'm kind of Leary about fixing something that isn't broken. But with the sludge and miles I was just going to have a fresh oil pump in there since I'll have the pan off anyways.

Then leave it where it is. Pull the oil screen and give it a clean together with the pan.

Thanks! I'll definitely give that a try. I feel a bit sheepish since I should have thought of that myself.

It just seems strange though, that the SES light is on but no codes come up.

TreadWright is a great re-tread company. Perterson's Mag. tested them on a 3/4 ton dodge and they beat the complete hell out of them. They worked great and had no problems.

What if you used some vise-grips (held loosely around the strap) as a fulcrum and pried/pulled the strap out with a second set of vise-grips (acting as the lever) until it was far enough then locked the first pair down to hold the strap in that position while inserting the pin? Would that work?

thinking about swappin engines found a 4.2 in a wrangler and was wandering how hard of a swap it would be to go from a stock 4.0..............this is the ad

Jeep 4.2 liter. Hear it run! Drive in it! Complete. Replacing with v8 soon. Engine has unknown miles but well taken care of. Has been modified.. no smog but made to look smog legal and will pass smog. Has Weber Carb with custom air filter made for Weber carbs and to fit Jeeps(made to look stock), K&N air filter, Flo-Cooler high volume thermostat housing and stainless thermostat, MSD HELIO-COIL solid core 8mm wires. Engine will be complete less power steering pump. Engine runs Tops! Very strong and dependable, however needs a lower bearing replaced, has a tap. otherwise I would be wanting twice that. It does not affect runability of engine and has ran that way for 1 1/2 years. This is my Daily driver and I drive it allot, its not babied but like said well taken care of with only the best. Has only run Schaeffers oil, I take good care of my rigs! I will be pulling the engine as soon as it sells. Engine Has no real leaks. The price is firm as I will be removing and there is that much in aftermarket parts. No trades, Cash only and up front before I pull engine.

That's an AMC engine which is like the father of the 4.0L, and being that it runs a carb instead of EFI there will be lots of differences in sensors. Not to mention the blocks are different. Too many variables to say it would be an easy job. I don't think I'd do all that work unless it was a free engine. JMO

I have a 2000 Sport. It has a Dana 30 in the front and 35 in the rear. I know this is not the ideal set-up and it all depends on what you are doing with your rig, but What is the opinion of the optimal axles and gears so that you wouldn't need to worry about getting into trouble on the trail for the majority of situations. thanks josh

Default 2000 cherokee dana 35

I trashed my dana 35 about three weeks ago. I have found a few around for sale but most are from 91-96 cherokees and grand cherokees. Which of these if any will work for me? Any help is much appreciated!
