Looks a lot more fun than the digging around the wires with a voltmeter-bit that is my Jeep-chore of the day, this electrical stuff is just insane.Originally Posted by Slick761
Putting all new bushings up front and cleaning and greasing my superflex (rubicon express) joints. Also re painting everything
Best of luck with the build!

I would imagine, are you doing it by hand?Originally Posted by Slick761
Ohhhh buddy... this bushing stuff is downright painful without a press.
As for my 94; I got a new camshaft sensor and it started right up, drove it a bit and so far so good. Am still a bit worried that it won't start up when I go out there in 30 mins tho...
Also wanted to say thanks again for your feedback, much appreciated.

Haha I know that feeling. Ya I broke two 3 jaw pullers. Must have been doing something right!
Not too familiar with the mechanics of bushings and refitting, did you work it out?

I had a similar problem, with my 96XJ dying intermittently. Check your O2 sensors, primarily the front one. Check the wires inside the loom. On mine, the wire insulation flaked off and the bare wires were shorting out, causing intermittent problems. I also replaced the camshaft position sensor since I had it already and between the two, I haven't had any problems since.

Interesting! I did get an error code about the O2-sensor when I was digging around and using trial and error – I had an ugly wire which was showing naked copper. It was located close to the front of the body, on the right hand side of the engine (when facing the headlights). Not sure of the correct term or where the front sensor is. Also, the guy who owned the car before me put on a new exhaust system and maybe that screwed something up.Originally Posted by Danian619
