Default Wont start unless i heat it up??

Alright search on my phones gone hay wire and won't work so I have to ask, for the last week my jeep will not start at all or cranks and cranks but won't turn over. This things my dd and I need to figure it out. Here's the deal I half to throw a salamander under it about half an hour before I have to leave to get it to start. New battery, starter is less than 6 months old, no bad grounds, fine compression when it cranks. Any ideas?

When it "cranks and cranks" if it has

Fuel
+
Spark
+
Compression
=
it should start right up.

Time to figure out whats missing from the equation.

That's where I'm lost, brand new fuel filter last month no fuel line leaks kinks or freezes plenty of compression and new plugs caps and rotors 2 months ago. What's really throwing me off Is the whole no crank at all unless I put a heater under it half an hour before I have to go anywhere.

Edit: as for the diesel question my plow truck and cattle hauler is a 3500 hd and it doesnt give me half as much of a hard time, oil pressure is fine oil is under 1000 miles old and full synthetic. Clean as it was the day I bought it.

test the starter. new don't mean good. what's the voltage of the battery before starting?. when it does start what's the rpm's? how long before it drops to 900. recheck battery conections, just worked on one last week with starting problems. I tightend the battery conections.

First thing I did was check all grounds and they're solid ( replaced them back in may last year when I was having power issues) battery is a week old sitting at 13-14 on the cluster before start up and a little over 14 after. As for the starter, it was under warranty so I pulled it off and had them replace it put it in yesterday morning, still not working right. I'm at work now and I've got my jeep in our spare bay (work at a tire place) going through it with a fine tooth comb while I have the time.

Don't know if this will help or not but I had a TBI 350 that I had problems with when it got really cold, it had good battery, starter, etc, but I had to plug in my block heater or it would turn over but not fire. Turned out that the coil was weak and so the plugs had a spark, but a weak spark, replaced the coil, problem solved.

So we have our answer guys pulled all the spark plugs to clean things up and look at everything, connection between rotor and distributor cap is severed inside one of the plugs. Packed full of unknown crap icluding ice (hence the heating it up to get a proper current water is a much better conductor than ice) something so simple caused so much grief.
