Won't start after weather cool down
HI I own a 2000 Cherokee Sport that won't start when the weather has been hot and then followed by a cool day. It cranks fine just won't fire. The problem started this spring after we had a hot weather spell followed by a cool down. When the weather warmed backup it starts fine. Now it's happened
again. It has 149000 miles and a 4.0l engine. Any thoughts ?

whats the temp gauge read when u turn the key on after it sits a faulty coolant temp sensor can cause this if the pcm thinks its really cold out it will richin the fuel mixture for cold starting! and if its to rich and not cold enough it wont start also tryholdint the gas pedal to the floor when it happens if it fires and then dies again very good chance the ect sensor is the culprit doing this make the injectors stop firinig for flood clear out hope this helps
