New stat did the trick. IR at stat 188 to 198 temp gauge at 210 or just under heat is blowing nice and hot. So after 3 bad fail safe stats I will not run anything but oem.
Thanks for all the help guys.
And done before lunch just as promised.

Do u have a "FailSafe" stat?......I think everybody here knows I wouldn't have one. Since the OP has 2, maybe he would unlock them (easy to do) and do the test for the Forum. If they "fail" at or below 212*, MotoRad has some serious problems. If the OP is kind enough to do the test for the Forum, I hope he doesn't toss them into boiling water........wouldn't want to go there again, that would be Crazy.

Well I unlocked the stat and couldn't get them to fail. The first one I pulled out of my jeep looked fine the last one I pulled out yesterday was only locked on one side. I'm not sure what's going on with the fail safe stat all I know is the oem stat is working fine.

When I ran a fail safe I noticed if I got on the skinny pedal to accelerate the temps would nosedive and come back up. I think they use a weak spring that can't handle flow very well. They may very well test good on the stove.

Without a test, we'll never know.
One would think with a dime sized hole beside the stat relieving flow pressure that the spring would be strong enough to not open from flow pressure.
If it does, MotoRad has serious problems.

Yes tested them. I did it on the stove in boiling water they both opened and closed fine. The highest I could get the water temp was 230*. If you know a better way let me know and I will gladly test again.
