wj brake booster and mc conversion
i'm thinking about doing the wj brake conversion, it all looks easy, but where do you get the vaccum from for the booster?

scratch that, i'm not really looking to upgrade my brakes, i just want to get rid of my electric brake booster because it's going out. is it as simple as puting a vaccum booster behind my current mastercylinder? or is there more involved.

look for a booster/master from a 97 and up xj. with just a little modification, like grinding the rod flat on the end and reaming out the hole and just replacing a brake line and relocating the proportioning differential block to your stock location and you'll have twice the brake power.
sounds like a lot, but it's not at all. very easy to do. can do it in a couple hours.
google it, there are many write ups about it.
vacuum comes from the manifold.
97 and up is a dual diaphragm booster, while yours is only a single.
