Default wiring a trailer for a 89 jeep cherokee

Does anyone know where I can get a kit cheap or the wiring diagram for wiring a 89 cherokee? I tried wiring it the standard way but it seems that the brake wire and the blinker wire are separate instead of together. Thanks...Tj

Got the meter, I have the 4 wire plug for the jeep but the brake wires and blinker wires are separate wires so you cant just hook them together like the normal way you would on almost every other vehicle...Tj

I PM'ed TJ already, but I'll answer here so everybody can benefit.

There is a "converter box" which is a small solid-state device that combines the turn-signal and brake lamp bulbs for the trailer four-wire connector.

The box is common, comes with instructions, and should be less than $20.

Thanks for the help. I figured it out myself by building my own "Box" with few transistors and diodes and it only cost less that $2, Thanks again for your help...Tj
