Default Wiring Issue

Ok so last week when Red Rider (My Jeep) was in the shop, for reasons unknown to me, the problem was successfully located and fixed. The code i got was 24- voltage to the TPS was too high or low. Apparently the code means the voltage in the circuit not the actual TPS. I replaced the TPS before i dropped it off at the shop and let them have free reign on it. When i came to pick it up he told me about the problem and said it was a wiring problem that arouse just from it being 17 years old and having 167K on it. This is basically what he said: There is a motor type thing in the wiring circuit from the TPS to the computer. When the car is in park, the motor doesnt spin, Reverse the motor spins one way then in drive it spins opposite of reverse. There is a wire either in the motor or around it that got stretched out from shifting around so much and it would lose contact with the other half so that was what was giving me the code and the TERRIBLE driving. He fixed it by running new wires from the computer to wherever they need to go and everything works great now $140 later. Heres what im looking for now, Does anyone have a diagram that shows this "motor" thing he was talking about and if any one has had any experience with this? Thanks guys

Ok well i talked to my grandpa, who was there with me, and i apparently wasn't listening. The mechanic said that the wire loom had flexed from being next to the motor like when you put it in gear and stuff like that. So i guess after 17 years of driving it had stretched the wire out in the loom and would disconnect at various times while driving. Maybe this can help somebody else with this similar problem or something
