How do the door pins on a 2000 XJ work? Black wire & a yellow wire. Does the switch open or close a circuit? Do I cut the plug off and connect the 2 wires to keep the Jeep from thinking my back doors are open?
Same with the seat belts. I'm using the MJ belts and I don't want the seatbelt light on. How does that switch work?
I'm asking because I'm currently swapping my 90' MJ to a 00' XJ and I'm removing all the unused wires from the body harness. Rear doors, 3rd brake light, rear wiper, rear speakers... All the things an MJ doesn't have. Body harness is currently laid out on the shop floor, otherwise these would be fairly easy things to test for if it were plugged into the Jeep.
