I’m wondering if all wiring harnesses are the same. I’m wanting to add fog lights and an overhead console to a 2000 Sport that did not come with them. Will I need to pull my own wiring or do all the connections exist in the stock wiring harness?
I had the door panels off and noticed it has the plugs for heated mirrors even though mine doesn’t have them. That’s what leads me to believe all harnesses are the same.

Out of the 3 things that you did list that would be plug and play with your Jeep as she sits now is the mirrors.
Cause I am guessing you have power mirrors just not heated power mirrors.

You will really want the wiring harness for the overhead console to replace your dome light one.
To make it literally plug and play you will want the donor Jeep to be a '00 or '01.
Then you can just get the overhead, the bracket, and the harness to be good.
Also should try to get the key fob that will go with the circuit board in the overhead for the locks.
But swapping out the one from your dome light to the overhead is easy enough.

I know first hand that 99 will work but you will have to repin one connector and you really should
make sure you grab the vanity light visors out of the '99 too. Reason being that the visors in your
'00 are two wire with an external ground and a '99 is one wire with an internal ground. The harness
from the '99 will reflect this.

As far as the factory fog lights go the headlight harness is what has the connectors for the fog lights on it.
If your Jeep did not come with fog lights then chances are you don't have the correct harness.
But it is more then just getting a fog light headlight harness. There is still wiring that you don't have going to
the PDC from where the headlight harness hooks up to the main harness.

I also assumed you have a rear defogger cause the heated mirrors are activated with that switch.
Mine came with heated mirrors but I have read a bunch of times it is plug and play.

Out of all the factory options that my Jeep did not come with that I have added that was not one of them. LOL.
