Wire Harness Question
87 Cherokee inline 6, had a short somewhere in the wiring under the hood. I think it was in the starter relay that seems to be where the damage was the worst. anyway in the pic below in the red box is my question.
the two wires to the left tie into the harness plug that goes into the back of the fuse box. the two wires to the left, one goes to a plug, the other goes to a relay. there in the middle where they appear to be joined is a small metal coupling that appears to crimp all four together. does anyone know if this is correct and if so are the wires actually touching or for some strange reason was the coating left on and the wires just clamped together something else.
i really dont want to just wire all these together as a node and short this thing out again as soon as i turn it on.
