Wiper issues
Hi,
99 cherokee XJ
Sometimes when its really cold and I want to put on my wipers to wipe something off the windshield they won't move. Even if I try to spray the windshield it'll spray out the fluid but the wipers are a no go. After driving the car for a few miles they'll work perfectly. This is extremely intermittent in fact this is the 3rd time this happened to me in 2 years and usually when its really cold outside.
So XJ experts what am I looking at in terms of repairing?
I thought its the wiper relay which is built into the switch itself or perhaps its the delay or the motor itself. But when it works its perfect which makes me want to rule out the motor, I am leaning towards a switch but its pretty expensive when just playing the parts cannon!!
PS: when looking at the wiring diagram the spray function send electrical to the spray pumps and no relay is involved for that part, but power to the wipers does go through the built in relay
