Windshield Wiper R/R?
Total newb question. I'm replacing my windshield wipers and can't figure out how to get the blade off the pin. In all the cars I'ved owned (25+) I haven't had a pin-type wiper. This may even be the original blade and the PO just replaced the rubber blade over the years, as there's plenty of corrosion around the pin itself, and the black has faded the same amount as the wiper arm assembly. I know that the spring should release from around the pin and then slide off, but it just ain't happening. More testosterone? I just don't want to bend the arm.
Thanks.
Thanks.

If your talking about the front then.....They dont have pins they just slide in from the drivers side its hard to explain but the arm is shaped like a U and the blade slides in so to remove them pull them towards the drivers side they should just slide on out
As for the back yes if it has the pin just pull it and it should come right out

Well, they're definitely not the U shaped style, I'm familiar with those. This is a pin type just like the rear. Is this something specific to the model year (93)? Or maybe the whole arm assemblies got changed out at some point. I'll play around with them some more and try to figure this out.

Its a '93. It has the older style wiper blades.
A straight screwdriver pushed between the arm and blade.
Give a twist. Should pop right off with a little effort.
Not a specific model year. From 84(5) to at least 96. Not sure if they changed them with the rest of the"upgrades".
I have a 91 & 94 and have replaced blades several times on both.
P.S. DO NOT GET THE AUTOZONE DURALAST WIPERS. They do not "stay". The clip is very touchy and if you do not have it PERFECT...you will lose the blade all together. This includes the 12-13" rear wiper blade also.

Thanks! I'll give that a try. I've got "winter" blades to replace the fronts with. I've always liked those for driving on the interstate in CO. For the rear, I'm looking for a Bosch 13", which is on there now, instead of the common 12" replacement, which is a little small.
