Default Windshield Wiper Problems

Hello,

I have a '93 Cherokee XJ and I'm having some problems with the windshield wipers. They work on intermittent and low settings. When you switch to high, you only get low speed. Also the switch for the windshield sprayer doesn't work either. I've tried a replacement intermittent wiper module, but that didn't fix the problem. They do return to normal position when you turn them off, and occasionally you hear a clicking sound at the initiation of the wiper on intermittent settings. Maybe it's the motor? Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Just to try some thing pull out the module , take both plugs and plug them together see if wipers work normal.

I tried that after I swapped out the delay module. I still only get one speed, low, whether it's on high or low setting on the multifunction switch. I suspect the motor, but was wondering if others have this issue.

You need to remove wipers and and the cowel unplug motor and using a test light see if you get power on high in the plug if you do replace motor if not switch woyld be next suspect.

So I back probed all the connections both under the dash and at the wiper motor connection and I am getting normal battery voltage on both the high and low settings. However when you switch between the two, the motor doesn't change speed. At this point I am guessing it's the motor and am looking to replace it.
