Windshield Wind Noise on 1987 XJ
I have a lot of wind noise in the cabin of my 87 and was going to seal off the vent windows with Silicone. Also was going to do the windshield since I've heard this can be a big source of wind noise as the seal breaksdown over time.
My question is: For this type of issue, can I seal the windshield from the inside? I'm iffy about possibly breaking the metal frame on the windshield and thought this might work for the windnoise.
Any thoughts?

If the windshield seal is leaking, I'd seal it from the outside. Not only for noise reasons, but water getting in there will rust things that are probably not fun to fix.
