Default Windshield swap

Hey guys I just bought a 96 Cherokee(4 door) and my buddy gave me his old 90 Cherokee(2 door) for parts. To safety the 96 I need a windshield. Can I take the one out of the 1990 and put it in the 96? thanks

It should fit just fine. I don't think that part of the XJ ever changed, correct me if I'm wrong.

97 i do believe is differnt.. 96 should be the same - but 96 is kind of a weird year - a lot of things changed but the looks stayed the same... i would call a dealer and have them look at it in a book.. or a auto glass place.

I know guys that will use guitar string to cut the window out. It's a major PITA, and easy to break, from what I understand. There may be some JY dogs around here that may have a better way to do it. HTH!!

Have 2 people to do it..Also go rent some suction handle things as well..you just have to cut the epoxy out to get the windshield out and remove the trim molding stuff..It's not hard just a pain in the **** and heavy..I have helped do it...As for installing em never done that..
