Hey guys my windshield was replaced with a new one two years ago. Everything was great until this year I was driving down the road and the seal/trim popped out at the top. Now it flaps in the wind and is really annoying plus I don't want water getting in there.
I was wondering if there was a trick to getting it seated again? It is pliable and not weathered very much. No cracks, or breaks and I would hate to have to get it totally replaced when it it is still in good shape. It is the rubber seal that has an L shape where it reaches in to clip in. And does it need some window seal epoxy or silicone of some sort?

You should be able to call the folks that put the windshield in and have them fix the issue for you.
I had the same issue a little while back and that worked for me.

On my 2001 xj the rubber windshield molding has been shrinking. The windshield is good and no leaks. It is coming up at the lower drivers side corner. My question is: Is there a way to replace the molding without removing the windshield? It looks like a new one can just slide on over the edges and push on. I know if the windshield itself is messed with it is going to crack.
Thanks in advance.

From a professional windshield installer.
Chances are you won't be able to get the moulding tucked back in under the glass due to the urethane bed. As a general rule, the installer of the windshield should have caught the rubber moulding with the urethane bed at the time of installation. Since that obviously did not happen, they should be responsible enough to fix it for you. We guarantee our work for the life of the windshield.
The windshield can be removed without breaking it 95% of the time. The other 5% of the time, the windshield will break due to a rock chip in the surface or sandpits.
You can attempt to tuck the moulding in yourself, first without and adhesive, a practice run of sorts. If it will go back in to suit you, then go to O'Reilly's and but some urethane made for windshields. We use dow chemical, beta seal express. I don't think O'reilly's carries it but they should have a similar product. Pleasssseeeeee don't use silicone. The next installer will be quite thankful to you.
Only use a small amount of urethane along the edge of the glass and pinchweld of the body, tuck the moulding in and tape it in place for about 24 hours. You should be good to go.
Good Luck and Happy Jeepin'
