Hi guys, a few days ago I had my windshield replaced on a 1992 laredo with chrome windshield trim. On the left side of the windshield (see photos), the windshield is pressed in too much, leaving like a 3/8 gap between the windshield and the trim. Will this make water collect between and cause a rust issue?
Thanks a lot
Alex

I cannot tell from your pics
do some experiments with a hose
Ideally, water should not POOL anywhere on a vehicle
Therefore, if water is pooling against a painted metal surface, that is not good, and action taken to prevent it
In this case I would apply butyl semi hard mastik to seal any gap.
If done well, it will not be detectable, and exclude water. Tape the area and smooth it in with fingertip

I would have the windshield installer either redo the work or replace the glass with a different brand that actually fits...
