Got a 98 Cherokee Limited. Every now and then the tach and speedometer go to zero and airbag light comes on, which I understand is common. I also have a good idea on the fix.
But until today, the power window switches on the back doors and front passenger door have not worked. Today, for some unknown cosmic reason, they started working.

Question is this, could the guage problem and window switch issues be related? Anyone else run into this??

Bad battery would realte both problems

 

the Cherokee window and lock switches go out, very common problem. the fix for that is going to the dealer and getting new switches and replacing them. I've tried to do work arounds and quick fixes wound up almost catching the door on fire so a new switch is definitely cheaper than a new jeep ha ha ha

 

Got the battery tested and it's fine, but the ground on the battery was loose. Tightened that and we'll see what happens. If that fixes everything that would be great! Time will tell.....
