Hey y'all, I have all kinds of problems with my windows. First of all. the passenger window only works with the driver controls. The back windows work only with their own controls and not the driver ones, and sometimes not at all. Also, my driver window makes a weird grinding noise when it closes. Finally, I put my back window down before with the controls on the door, and now I cant get it back up at all. Help! Is there fuses somewhere for this stuff because its in the OM.

its the master window switch. hit the JY and swap it out. should take care of all issues. mine has a short in it as well (and at least 1/2 the other people w/ jeeps too). all windows work from drivers side and it grinds when you still have the switch held and window is all the way up or down. if/when you replace it, you have to pull door pannel off. before you unhook it try pushing on the connectors on the back of the switch and see if you can get that rear window up. when you push on the back of mine, it makes a strong enough connection and all windows work. new is like 140, so id deff. say JY!
Update: Picked up a NEW master window switch and that didnt do the trick. I think it may be the motor...Thoughts?

Take the panel off. Have a buddy hold window where you want it (unbolt the window 1st) then put a self tap in the track so it can't move down. Done that a couple times when I was in a bindOriginally Posted by countryboy215
Another update/ question. How can I get the window up manually?

If the window won't go back up and makes a fast clicking noise you can tug on the bottom of the door panel and reach into the door get under the glass and push up to re engage it as you press the switch up. My drivers window wont go back up if it goes all the way down
