Window Crank Removal
I'm wondering what the proper procedure is for removing the manual window cranks on a 97 XJ. In the past, I've used a small screw driver and rolled the window down alittle to pop the clip.
The problem is that I nearly lost a clip last time, and don't want to search my gravel driveway for it. And ofcourse you can't get the clips, and the window cranks assemblies are are discontinued.
So what's the right way to do it as to not lose the clips, or are the clips common that I may be able to get them at a hardware store?

i've always used a small flathead or pocketknife. the tools work well, but i figure if i can do it for free and not have an issue, why not!?!? they also sell a pack of about 20 clips at o'reilly auto parts for about $4.00. it's in the Motormite/Help! section in a clear clamshell box with a red paper backing... hell, if i remember it when i get home from work, i'll see if i still have some and i'll just mail you a few!
