Default winding noise when clutch is engaged

at any rate of speed i drive when i push the clutch in to down shift or up shift it sounds like something is spinning loosely i cna't figure out where its coming from exactly i think it might be a transmition thing since it only happens when i push the clutch in.

Sounds like throw out bearing, when the cluch pedal is down the throw out bearing applies pressure to the pressure plate fingers, the throw out bearing starts spinning causing the noise. The bearing is worn or they got rusted if the car when through a deep puddle of water and let sit. That happened to me before.

And if your changing that, may as well do a full clutch change since the cost is much more labor than parts and as long as you have to do all the labor now, you might as well replace everything so you don't have to go into it again.
