Will these cheap steelies fit my current tires ok?
Alright guys, I dont have access to my car right now so I'm depending on what you guys know...
I have these stock 5 spoke Cherokee wheels...Im not sure of the tire size but the tires that are on them are the stock size..
Now, mine are currently rusted to bits and Im interested in replacing them with something fresh. These are the cheapest nice set ive been able to find so far...the 'Black steel wheels'
http://www.roughcountry.com/black_wheels.html
These come in a number of sizes. I'd like to keep my current tires. A little extra offset would be preferable....So the wheel are at least even with the body or stick out just a touch....Trying to keep everything as stock-looking as possible. I also cannot find offset specs on that website for these wheels. Are they any good? Anyone know anything about them?
Any suggestions are appreciated!

Yeaaa, I did but I thought shipping was free at the website I posted since it said 0.00 for shipping. Guess it wasnt calculated yet. Woops. Looks like Summit has much more reasonable shipping prices though!
Im more concerned about fitment though. Im guessing a 15x8 would be what is probably closest to stock. I just dont know anything about offsets and such.

Stock XJ wheels are 15"x7" with a backspacing (offset) in the 5.25" to 5.75" range and 5x4.5" bolt pattern. (Canyons were actually 15x8").
15"x8" on 5x4.5" with 4" BS is a pretty standard choice.

Check ebay. Summit has their house brand wheels for $200 to $225 (ish) for a set of 4 shipped. Thats probably what I'll be getting in a few weeks. Remember, center caps and lugnuts are extra...
I'd recommend running 15x8" with 4" backspace. You're tires will fit on those rims, but they're a little wider in case you decide to run a bigger tire next time you need to replace them.

Awesome thanks for the responses. Seems like the 4 inch backspace is pretty well agreed upon.
A 4 inch backspace will get the outer edge of the wheel at LEAST even with the body? This tucked in wheel riff raff looks no good.
Is there a photo illustrating what a 4inch backspace would look like on a stock suspension XJ?
