Pick up some nice aftermarket shocks. They won't cost you very much. Or if you want to go with the stock option, those aren't very expensive either. No sense trying to mix and match parts from other vehicles when the parts for your own vehicle are readily available.
i know this thread is old, can somebody explain why the front rubicon springs wont work on an xj? I thought all TJ and XJ front springs were the same.
I have a new set of 05 TJ rubicon takeoffs, i've been hanging onto for my 86 XJ. I was pretty sure they would work.
Can somebody clarify the springs fit or not fit? and why?
I was expecting to gain a couple inches with just a little 2.8 v6 anchor
thanks,
