Default Will this hose work?

I am replacing the CCV elbows on my valve cover when I do my gasket as well as cleaning the inner orifices. I also want to replace the hoses running from the VC to the airbox and intake. I went to A/Z and they gave my a length of 1/2" heater core hose for the airbox line, however they gave me too much. I need to replace the second intake manifold line as well. Can I just use the extra heater hose for that? I ask because the line going from the VC to the intake narrows between both connections.

Sorry, I dunno if the fact that it's a 91 XJ matters or not.
