can i fit a dana 300 out of a 60s jeepster ? were can i get an adapter

http://www.Advanceadapters.com I think they make a D300 adapter for most transmissions. Pretty pricey but they do have several D300 adapters.

is that the

trasfercase out of the jeespter or is it an 18/20?
are they worth it?

Most of the D300s I have seen need to be clocked to use in an XJ. The ones are usually found in Fords I think.Yes they are very stout. If you have the funds you may want to consider an Atlas t/c they are able to handle a lot more power and torque than a 231 or even a D300. They are quite expensive but I doubt you will break anything in them.
