Default Will 15x8 rims be too big for p235/75r15 tires?

My mom is looking to buy rims to go on p235/75r15 tires, She is looking for 15x8 soft 8's. Will the rims be too big for the tires. Or should she go with 15x7's?

For that size you wouldn't want 8" because its too wide, definitely do 7"

wiggles he should be fine with a 235/75 on a 8" rim. 235/75s are 9.25" wide and a 6-8.5" wide rim is advised

Ya I was giving a short answer, its possible yes but if there won't be a wider tire put on it in the future than 7 is the better option

7 is still good for that, I have 32x10.5's on 7 inch rims without any problems

I'm looking to do the same thing with the soft 8's. I've got fairly new 235's too. What about the offset on 15x7 wheels, what should I go with? I know stock is 5.25.,

4" is a good all-around bs and allows you to go up to a 12.5 tire pretty easily without rubbing in turns
